Bands bands bands

Is it the club that makes the band or the band that makes the club ?

The bands are constantly competing to outperform each other and is evident from the energised looks on our guests face.

To Loo or not to Loo.....

World Toilet Day has been declared to be on the 19th of November each year.

The purpose of having this day is to have people in all countries to take action, increase awareness of toilet user’s right to a better toilet environment, and to demand for it from toilet owners. As such, it is also the toilet user’s duty to contribute towards its maintenance, cleanliness and hygiene. The public marks the day to practice toilet etiquette, the restroom community-at-large celebrates with a new declaration for the forthcoming year.

At BBC, our beautifully landscaped toilet environment is designed to give our guests a feel of "going back to nature". No No... this does not mean that you "do your business" in the open for everyone to see. It is difficult to describe the ambience, come visit and take a look for yourself.

Just a bit of trivia.. ever heard of the brand Villeroy and Boch ? Credibility, quality, image, competence, elegance, harmony, design and lifestyle are the defining characteristics of the Villeroy & Boch brand. You will find their "Tableware", "Bathroom and Wellness" and "Tiles" products in many 5 star establishments including ours.

A Rainforest in the heart of Kuala Lumpur ?

One thing which our guests always comment on when they visit us at BBC is the Rainforest theme. Birds chirping, frogs croaking, a flying hornbill, insects on the life sized Rafflesia, a cave with overhead bats... why make a trip to the Kuching Rainforest Festival when we have our own version of it just a stone's throw from KLCC ?
There is nothing like going back to nature to get away from the stress of city life. Come visit us at BBC 1 Jalan Kia Peng.

Please post a comment on this blog to tell us what you think !

BBC = ???

Now that you know where BBC is located... the next question which you may ask is.. where is Borneo and what is a Baruk ?

Info from Wikipedia.com
( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borneo ):

BORNEO is the third largest island in the world. It has an area of 743,330 km² (287,000 square miles), and is located at the centre of the Malay archipelago and Indonesia. Borneo is considered to be part of the geographic region of Southeast Asia. Administratively, this island is divided between Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. Borneo is a Western appellation; used by the Dutch during the colonial period. In Indonesia today, the island is referred to as Kalimantan. East Malaysia or Malaysian Borneo refers to the States of Sabah and Sarawak.

Info from http://www.mymalaysiaparadise.com/Sarawak.html

Originally from West Kalimantan, the Bidayuhs are now most numerous in the hill country of Bau and Serian, within an hour's drive from Kuching. Historically, as other tribes were migrating into Sarawak and forming settlements, the meek-natured Bidayuhs retreated further inland, hence earning them the name of "Land Dayaks". The traditional Bidayuh abode is the "baruk", a roundhouse that rises about 1.5 metres off the ground. The Bidayuhs speak a number of different but related dialects. Whilst some of them still practice traditional religions, most modern-day Bidayuhs have adopted the Christian faith.

Welcome to BBC Kuala Lumpur....

I bet the first question that comes to your mind.. what exactly is BBC ?
